Jody received a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford. Her MSc research focused on spatial models and approximation techniques for determining the required domain size for a population. This work was inspired by questions related to marine reserve design. This work followed a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Manitoba.
Jody completed her PhD under Dr. Mark Lewis and Dr. Andrew Derocher with work focusing on modelling polar bear populations in the context of climate change scenarios.
