Support Our Science nation-wide walkout

Support Our Science nation-wide walkout occurred on May 1st. Support Our Science (SOS) is an organization advocating for increased federal investments in scholarships, fellowships, and grants to support better pay for graduate and postdoctoral scholars. After a strong campaign by SOS, the most recent federal budget by the Government of Canada (released in March) saw no update to federal funding that supports early career researchers in Canada. In response, SOS is coordinated a nation-wide walkout on May 1st to underline the value of these researchers and to put pressure on the federal government to address the under-funding of research in Canada.
