Sam was a PhD student in Applied Math under the supervision of Dr. Mark Lewis and Dr. Matthias Herborg.
In his research, Sam worked on policies to protect BC from zebra mussels (Dreissena polymorpha), a harmful aquatic invasive species. Thereby, he regards questions of optimal propagule flow control as well as optimal detection of invasions.
Before he came to Edmonton, Sam completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Systems Science from Osnabrück University.
